Verbes presents itself as a valuable application for individuals seeking to master French verb conjugations. Each verb encompasses 89 forms, although learners need not conquer all variations; a firm grasp of the present tense and select others will suffice.

For many students of French, repeated practice is a key method for internalizing verb conjugations. Verbes is designed to facilitate this form of drilling efficiently.

The interface of Verbes is straightforward: by tapping the screen, users are confronted with a new drill featuring a randomly selected infinitive, tense, and person/number (e.g., "je", "tu", "il", "elle"). Users then mentally or vocally provide their answers before tapping again to reveal the correct response. Audio support for the correct answer is also available, enhancing the learning experience.

With full conjugations available for over 700 verbs, Verbes allows users to customize their drilling sessions by choosing from a subset of more than 500 verbs within the app. The customization options include:

 <li>Creating a personalized list of verbs, including the pre-loaded "Top 20 Verbs" list.</li>
 <li>Selecting specific tenses for practice; options include present, future, and preterite tenses.</li>

 <li>Concentrating on particular forms such as first person singular or regular "-ir" verbs in specific tenses.</li>
</ul>

This level of customization enables learners to focus precisely on their areas of need. Furthermore, users can engage in self-assessment tests with three types available: timed tests, tests based on the number of verbs, or a combination of both. Upon completion, learners receive their scores along with a historical record of test results, providing tangible evidence of progress.

Users have the capacity to create and save multiple verb lists for focused study sessions. Only the verbs within these lists are utilized during drills, ensuring a targeted approach to learning.

The app also permits users to view complete conjugations from the main drill screen and offers additional resources through its settings page. A sample conjugation demonstrates tense applications in English, aiding comprehension.
